Why 30 Momme Matters
30 momme silk is one of the highest quality grades available. It is:

Washing Instruction
Hand Wash Recommended
- Use cold or lukewarm water (max 30°C / 86°F)
- Add a small amount of pH-neutral detergent or silk-specific cleanser (e.g. Woolite, Eucalan, or a silk detergent)
- Gently agitate and soak for 3–5 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water
Avoid:
- Harsh detergents
- Fabric softener or bleach
- Soaking for long periods
- Wringing or twisting the fabric
Machine Washing (if necessary)
- Use a silk laundry bag
- Select the “Delicate” or “Silk” cycle
- Wash at cold temperature
- Use low spin speed
- Always wash separately from rough fabrics (e.g. denim or towels)
Drying
- Do not tumble dry
- Lay flat on a clean towel and roll gently to remove excess water
- Reshape and air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources
Ironing
- Turn garment inside out
- Use the lowest heat setting (silk or cool iron)
- Place a pressing cloth (e.g. cotton) between the silk and iron
- Steam lightly if needed, or use a steamer from a safe distance
Storing
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Hang using padded hangers to maintain shape
- For long-term storage, use a breathable garment bag
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, which can fade the colour
Stain Tips
- Treat stains immediately with cold water and gentle dabbing
- For tough stains, consult a professional dry cleaner experienced with silk
